Spectacular sunsets in this part of the world as we lead up to the shortest day of the year….! Nature puts on her best even in grim times.

Look how tidy the yard is!!! For the first time in weeks we’ve had time to clean up. The next onslaught begins tomorrow!!!

As a marina owner this is not what you want…empty berths. BUT WE LOVE it….the boats are out for the long weekend, fishing, cruising, whale watching…or simply relaxing at anchor. And why not? Look at the colour of the sky…and the water. And when the boats come home.….a good safe anchorage at Yamba Marina.

On this day in 1988 Kay Cottee sailed into Sydney Harbour to become the first woman in world history to sail alone, non-stop and unassisted around the world. Kay spent 189 days at sea and her voyage covered more than 22,000 nautical miles. She was named 1988 Australian of the Year and became an Officer of the Order of Australia amongst a host of world-wide awards and honors. Kay Cottee AO, a great Australian.

What more is there to be said…the first day of winter and Yamba Marina is at the middle of a beautiful rainbow.

Lets hope it is a very good sign for all. Stay safe and happy Australia.

The weather is stunning. We’ve had some big seas this week but now the waves are settling down and the charter fishing boats are ready to go. Reel Time Fishing Charters and Whale Watching is back in business. Give them a call.   Just look at the colour of the water…and they sky!!!.

With overall restrictions easing, activity has been picking up…the yard is active all week and more and more boats are moving around. May the world return to some-form of normal soon!!!!

The yard is busy in this beautiful autumn sunshine. If you need your boat slipped give us a call. We can fit you in during May/June.
